Established in 2011, the ACT-IAC Academy was designed to offer professional development training and education for all federal government and private sector employees serving the federal IT marketplace.
The Academy provides a unique learning environment on the following four programs of study:
· Best Practices
· Leadership
· Program Management
· Technical
Every course within the Academy is specifically tailored to the government environment, with a primary emphasis on: government / industry collaboration; experiential learning; and sharing of real world examples via case studies among government and industry.
ACT-IAC is placing this call for submission to IAC members who have courses – or are interested in developing education courses – in the above four areas for our 2012-2013 Fall Academy lineup. Our specific intent is to design and provide educational courses that leverage unique ACT-IAC professional development offerings, promote discussion around case studies, and engage government and industry attendees to draw on their professional experience in a highly collaborative environment.
ACT-IAC will provide logistics and promotion for each course. The courses will be offered under the ACT-IAC Academy brand with faculty names and corporate affiliations noted. In keeping with ACT-IAC principles, these courses should be vendor-neutral.
If you are interested in designing, developing, and/or offering an Academy course with ACT-IAC, please complete the online form (http://www.actgov.org/AcademyCourseSubmission) Questions about this initiative may be sent to Jason J. Majesky, Managing Director of Education at (jmajesky@actgov.org).
