Building Public Service Legacy

The American Council for Technology (ACT) has created a venue where young professionals interested in public sector IT can enhance their career development by participating in educational and network building opportunities. As part of this initiative, ACT has developed a roundtable discussion series with current high ranking officials in both industry and government who will share their experiences and lessons learned with participants. These discussions will provide the participants with an opportunity to learn the insights that these leaders have gained through their long and illustrious careers. Participants will have an opportunity to share their perspectives, as well.  From this, the participants can learn what they can do to advance their careers while also building an invaluable network among their peers.

The target audience for these discussions is comprised of government employees who are currently between the GS 7-12 level with less than 5 to 7 years in the federal service.  The ideal participant is a bright and ambitious individual interested in a career of significant leadership and contributions in the public sector.

Past Speakers Include:

  • Karen Evans, Office of Management and Budget
  • Renny DiPentima, Formerly with SRA and the Internal Revenue Service
  • Jim Williams, General Services Administration
  • Bob Woods, Topside Consulting
