The American Council for Technology-Industry Advisory Council and the General Services Administration are pleased to announce that they will be jointly hosting Acquisition Excellence 2013 on March 21, 2013, at the Grand Hyatt Washington. This one-day education and training event will explore how agencies can progress to a more agile acquisition environment with innovative solutions in a cost cutting era.
Modern technologies offer the promise to provide the streamlining of processes, the correlation of data for effective sharing, mobilization computing efforts to serve those where they need to be served and many more applications for more effective and efficient government.
Whether it is cloud computing services, mobile computing, data center consolidation, secure identification, agile development of applications or “big data” utilization to improve government processes; the procurement process can often be a roadblock to acquiring the tools to providing the citizenry a better government.
Acquisition Excellence 2013 will be a day spent exploring how agencies can best move forward with their effective acquisitions to better enable the government to function. This year’s tracks will focus on Innovation in Acquisition and Workforce Transformation. The collaborative discussions between government, industry and academia include:

Attendees will receive CEUs for their participation in this training event.
