How big is the conference this year?

The Small Business Conference (SBC) 2010 is a unique opportunity for small businesses and government officials to interact on a more intimate level.  This year, the conference registration is limited to 300 attendees.  With 300 attendees from both Government and Industry this will allow for greater dialogue throughout the conference.

How will SBC Registration work this year?

Both government and industry registration will open November 9th.  SBC 2010 conference registration will be limited to 300 attendees.  Registration will be on a first come first served basis.  All registrations will be accepted through the website: www.actgov.org.

Is there a wait list for SBC 2010?

No. Because there are not any limitations to each company it is strictly first come fist serve.

Is there an early bird registration fee?

Yes, this year we have installed an early bird registration system. If you register before January 10th you are eligible to pay $95 government fee, $195 IAC member fee or $295 non-IAC member fee. On or after January 11th the registration fee will increase to $155 government, $255 IAC Member and $355 non-IAC member.

How do I register?

If you have accessed the website in the past simply login using your current email address you have on file at ACT-IAC and your unique password. You may then click on the link “View Events and Register”. Find the Small Business Conference and follow through the registration screens. You will be sent a confirmation email once your registration has been completed.

If you have not accessed our website in the past, you will have the opportunity to create a user name and password. Please follow all the appropriate steps. If you encounter any problems please contact ACT-IAC, 703-208-4800.

What is the dress policy?

The SBC dress code is business casual.

I am not an ACT-IAC member, can I still attend?

Yes, ACT-IAC encourages non-members to attend and network with our members. During the registration process you will need to create a username and password (if you have not previously logged into our website). When you are prompted to pay the dues simply click cancel – you will bypass the dues payments and have non-member access to the website. You may then register for the conference.

As a non-member do I need to register?

The Registration fee is $295 until January 10, after January 10 the registration fee will be $355 . I am a keynote speaker.  Do I need to register?

Plenary speakers are asked to register for SBC, but are not required to pay a registration fee. Per ACT-IAC policy, plenary speakers are responsible for their transportation.  Any reimbursement requests must be approved by the conference chairs. Your registration will be processed through the ACT-IAC office.

I am an industry breakout session speaker and I am an IAC member.  Do I need to register?

Industry breakout session speakers must register for SBC but do not need to pay the $195 fee if they are only attending the session at which they are speaking.  If an industry speaker wishes to stay for more than their session, they must pay the $195 fee.  Per ACT-IAC policy, industry speakers are responsible for their transportation.  Any reimbursement requests must be approved by the conference chairs. Your registration will be processed through the ACT-IAC office.

I am an industry breakout session speaker and I am not an IAC member.  Do I need to register?

I am a government breakout session speaker.  Do I need to register?

Government breakout session speakers must register for SBC but do not need to pay the $95 fee. We encourage government speakers to stay for the entire conference. To comply with government ethics if you are not participating in the Lunch with Leaders as a table host you are asked to pay a meal fee of $45.00. Per ACT-IAC policy, government speakers are responsible for their transportation.  Any reimbursement requests must be approved by the conference chairs. Your registration will be processed through the ACT-IAC office.

How can my company receive free registration slots?

What is the registration policy for IAC Executive Committee and ACT Board members?

Both IAC Executive Committee and ACT Board members are responsible for conference fees and transportation.

What is the registration policy for SBC Chairs and Planning Committee members?

SBC Chairs and Planning Committee members are responsible for conference fees and transportation.

SBC Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your SBC registration anytime before January 10th for a full refund.  Cancellations received from January 11th – January 31st will be subject to a $75 processing fee.  Cancellations made after January 31st will be non-refundable, but substitutions will be accepted. No shows will be charged the full registration fee.  Cancellations must be submitted via email to krivellese@actgov.org. Call 703-208-4800 x223 with any questions.
