2012 MANAGEMENT OF CHANGE CONFERENCE
June 3-5, 2012
The Federal government depends upon information technology to deliver services to the public and carry out governmental functions. The information technology arena is a rapidly evolving arena in which new opportunities and challenges are constantly emerging. Constant and continuing education is vital if government employees are to stay abreast of technological developments and best practices. Government also needs to communicate and collaborate with the private sector IT industry to ensure that the industry understands government’s needs and challenges. Industry can also assist government in developing and implementing best practices and successful strategies. The 2012 Management of Change Conference can and will facilitate this education and collaboration.
MOC 2012 – A unique educational and collaborative event
· The conference agenda addresses high priority issues affecting government agencies and their use of technology. Government executives provided strategic guidance and advice to ensure the agenda is relevant to government.
· The agenda includes 10 hours of keynote and educational sessions on cloud computing, mobility and security issues. It also includes 10 hours of collaborative networking and learning. There will be a government-only session at which government attendees will be able to interact with their peers.
· The program includes fresh perspectives and a diversity of insights from experts not generally heard from at conferences serving the government IT community. It is not the “same old faces.”
· The event provides an objective, vendor-neutral and ethical forum where government executives can collaborate with their peers in government and industry. A government to industry ratio of 1 to 3 ensures a healthy and valuable collaborative environment.
· The event includes an Expo of Innovative Technologies that will provide attendees with information about emerging and leading edge technologies that could impact government. The 10 exhibitors were selected by a group of government executives from among 30 applications. In addition to viewing the exhibits, the program includes time to discuss the potential implications of these technologies for government.
· The event will focus on substance. Industry attendees are prohibited from business development and promotion activities.
Who Should Attend
Mid and senior level managers (GS-11 to 15 and SES) with responsibilities for technology, acquisition, security, and/or program management. The agenda has been developed for individuals responsible for purchasing and implementing technology; Information security professionals; and managers and executives responsible for cloud migration, implementation, and specification who are interested in learning best practices and new strategies
Learning Objectives
Provide attendees with current information and best practices affecting cloud computing, mobility and security. Topics will include:
· Acquisition strategies and best practices for cloud computing, including the use of FedRamp
· Identity management initiatives for cloud-based applications
· Integrating data across cloud platforms
· The status of current Administration and OMB initiatives on the National Mobility Strategy and Digital Government
A second learning objective is to provide attendees with insights into some of the emerging and innovative technologies that may enhance government’s ability to improve its operations and service delivery.
This event has been designed to provide content and education that is actionable. Government attendees will receive information, strategies and contacts that will enhance their ability to do a better job. Attendees will:
· Discover how your colleagues in other agencies and in industry are addressing the same challenges you are facing in aligning mobile technology, identity management, and data integrity in the changing environment.
· Be better equipped to leverage the new paradigms by jumpstarting your agency learning curve through the experiences of your colleagues, and by expanding your base of resource contacts for the your agency’s migrations.
· Receive advance preparation for compliance with emerging standards and new directives for identity management and digital government directly from the policy and technology leaders.

· The venue is less than 90 miles from Washington, DC. The hotel rate for government employees is $150 -- $15 less than the GSA Joint Travel Regulation maximum.
· The government rate of $745 is $350 less than the industry rate. There is an early bird government rate of $695.
