2010 MOC ACT-IAC Special Events

You must register for ACT-IAC Special Events. Registration for ACT-IAC special events is on a first-come, first-serve basis. All events take place on Sunday, May 23, 2010.

Golf Tournament: Ramblewood Country Club

Place: Mount Laurel, NJ

Tee Time: 8:00am

Government fee – $75, Industry fee – $130

Come enjoy a round of golf and network with your colleagues. The MOC Golf Classic is being held at the Ramblewood Country Club.  Ramblewood has been said to be the Delaware Valley's Finest Public Country Club. Registration will begin at 7:00am and tournament tee time will be 8:00am.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation.

The Field House – Boston Red Sox v. Philadelphia Phillies

Place: 1150 Filbert St, Philadelphia, PA 19107

Time: 1:00pm – 4:00pm

Join us for exciting baseball action at one of Philly’s most popular sports bars to watch the Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Red Sox. Enjoy food and fun while watching the game on the big screen.

2010 Philadelphia Tour De MOC Bike Ride

The first Tour De MOC will be held Sunday May 23, 2010.

Start Time: 8:30am

Start Location: Outside the Lowe’s Hotel 1200 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA

Distance: Approximately 28 miles total

Route: Will take from Philadelphia along the Schuylkill River. Some roads are closed on Sunday morning so it is anticipated we will ride along the western side on River Drive to the town of Conshohocken about 14 miles out. Then return along East River Drive on the eastern side of the river. Great view

Other Details:

This is an open road bike ride therefore cruisers are most likely not appropriate. There will be a chase vehicle with drinks, tire patches, air tank, pump, emergency kit, and a few bike tools.

You will have to sign a waiver exonerating IAC and Jim Beaupre, your Tour leader.

You are expected to bring your own bike BUT if you are interested in participating, you can rent bikes in Philly here.

Philadelphia Zoo

Place: 3400 West Girard Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104

Time: 11:00am – 3:00pm

Fee: $23 – Adults, $18 – Children, ages 2– 11, Free – Children under 2

The Philadelphia Zoo houses over 1300 animals, including mammals, amphibians, reptiles and birds. One can see lions, leopards, bears, tigers, rhinos, giraffes, monkeys, apes, frogs, toads, snakes, lizards, crocodiles, alligators and many types of birds. The group will be taking a tour with a docent, who can give an exciting tour on every Zoo topic you can imagine.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation.

12th Annual MOC Volksmarch

Start Time: 10:00am

Start Location: Lobby of the Lowe’s Hotel, 1200 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA

Howard Ady, an ACT Past-President and Corporate Vice President, Stanley, Inc., and Army’s Gary Wetterhall will lead the MOC attendees during this year’s scenic 10K Volksmarch through the historic Old Town Philadelphia and many sites you’ll recall from your American History classes in High School.

This is a FUN and FREE event that you can enjoy with your friends, family, and even your pet!
