The Management of Change (MOC) conference was created by the Federation of Government Information Processing Councils (FGIPC) as a forum to bring together government executives from throughout the country and from all levels of government to share ideas, solutions and strategies on the application of information technology to government.
The Management of Change (MOC) conference is the longest running event in the government IT community. The three day conference is held each June within driving distance of DC and attracts approximately 425 attendees. A ratio of no more than 3 industry attendees per government attendees guides registration. In order to sustain this ratio, a limit is placed upon the total number of industry attendees. Each IAC member company may have up to 3 registrants each. The 2009 Management of Change Conference had over 430 conference attendees with representation from 45 government agencies and senior industry executives from nearly 200 companies.
A key part of MOC is the Intergovernmental Solutions Awards (ISA) exhibits and award presentations which recognize outstanding intergovernmental IT programs. Award winners are invited to display their program at the conference.
