The Executive Session featuring Tony Montemarano is proceeding as scheduled from 8:30 - 10 am this morning.
Please join us for the next ACT-IAC Executive Session featuring Mr. Tony Montemarano, Director, Strategic Planning and Information, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). This session will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM at The American Institute of Architects (AIA), 1735 New York Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20006.
Come hear Mr. Tony Montemarano talk about the opportunities and challenges currently facing DISA and the future direction of the organization. Mr. Montemarano will discuss the strategic plan for DISA and the key offerings of services, systems, networks, and architecture that will allow DISA and its industry partners to support the war fighter now and into the future. With the federal government's on-going budget challenges, DISA plays a pivotal role in the evolution of our national defense in the coming years. Mr. Montemarano will provide a unique perspective and explanation of the path ahead.
Mr. Montemarano has been in DISA, and its predecessor, the Defense Communications Agency, since 1989. He has played a major role in the evolution of every telecommunications service that DISA offers, including serving as Program Director for the Global Information Grid Bandwidth Expansion Program, the single largest expansion in the Department of Defense global communications infrastructure. From 2006 through 2007, Mr. Montemarano led the Program Executive Office for Information Assurance and Network Operations Programs providing security enhancements to DISA’s service offerings. Prior to assuming his current position, he was the Agency’s Component Acquisition Executive. In that role he had the responsibility for acquisition oversight of the Agency’s programs and has been deeply engaged with DISA’s net-centric enterprise services, communications services, security services, and various command and control initiatives.
