Course Description:
Federal IT project managers are under increased pressure to validate various aspects of their projects but don’t always have the best processes and tools to do it. This course is designed to providea basic understanding of the IBR process and its relationship to Program Management. You will be provided with the framework to prepare and conduct an IBR through hands-on practice and role-playing.

1. Describe what an IBR is, legacy practices, trends and requirements
2. Describe the purpose and value of the IBR process and its relationship to Program Management during project execution
3. Describe Program and Contract level IBRs

Kevin L. Martin

Mr. Martin’s experience spans more than twenty-five years of planning and implementing information-driven business improvements for Fortune 200 clients and major government agencies by employing business process improvements and system integration solutions. His work has included all phases of the information systems development lifecycle, from strategic planning to the design, development, and implementation of large-scale systems. Mr. Martin has delivered core applications, package applications, web services, and enterprise portals up to $50M. He is a recognized expert in the fields of information systems, information technology development and acquisition, and earned value management having testified as an expert witness in numerous cases for Fortune 100 clients.

Prior to founding KM Systems Group, Mr. Martin was Senior Vice-President and Global Chief Knowledge Officer at KPMG Consulting where he served on the firm’s Executive and Operating Committee along with other key executives and industry practice leaders. Mr. Martin specialized in the project management of major software development programs and developed KPMG’s Program and Project Management methodologies. He has served on the Board of Directors for Information Technology Association of America (ITAA), and is an active member of the Project Management Institute and NDIA Management Systems Committee.

Mr. Martin’s is KMSG leading instructor providing his experience and knowledge to our students in Earned Value, Management, Governance and Executive Leadership since the beginning of our company.

Mark Troisi

Mr. Troisi has over twenty years of project/program management experience. His training experience includes the creation of basic project management and Earned Value (EV) courseware, EVM System Description Document development, and traditional training materials for EVM type government reviews such as Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), Compliance Review (CRs), and follow-on Surveillance Reviews. Mr. Troisi’s training and development has been delivered to premier corporations and agencies across the Telecommunications, Government (DoD, Intelligence), Aerospace & Defense, Financial Services, Insurance, and Pharmaceutical industries.

 

 

Efrain Pacheco, PMP

Mr. Pacheco has twenty-four years of project/program management experience. His training experience includes multiple courses in Earned Value, Risk, PMO and Project management to audiences in the US and throughout the world. Mr. Pacheco is also well versed in re-engineering of process and procedures for the support of Project Management Life Cycle, EVM oversight, PMO management, Systems Life Cycle, Help Desk/Support, Training, QA, CMMI and business process. Mr. Pacheco brings significant practical experience along with his demonstrated experience as a project management professional.
