Please join us for the first ACT-IAC General Membership Meeting of the year! The meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Westin Tyson's Corner, 7801 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA 22043. CLICK HERE to register.

In response to a request from the General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Cloud Computing Initiative (FCCI), the American Council for Technology (ACT) and Industry Advisory Council (IAC), assembled a working group comprised of experienced cyber security, cloud computing and identity management professionals from IAC member companies. Formed from the Cloud Computing Cross Shared Interest Task Group, the charter of this working group was to provide the GSA FCCI program industry perspective on challenges and best practices for identity management and access control for cloud computing indentifying solutions and best practices which organizations may consider to overcome these potential barriers to adoption. An ACT-IAC white paper was developed with the following key objectives:

Describe the Identity and Access Management environment as it relates to cloud computing
Identify Compliance challenges for agencies migration to cloud computing
Identify Best practices for adoption of cloud computing while maintaining compliance
Provide recommendation for accelerating adoption of Identify and Access Management best practice by federal agencies
Come join the authors of the whitepaper and leading Industry and Government professionals to learn more about Identity Management and Security in the context of Cloud Computing. The panel will discuss the tenets and key objectives of the whitepaper in greater detail.
