Course Description:
IT Governance and Portfolio Management supports the entire acquisition and project management lifecycle, including strategic planning, budgeting, project planning, acquisition, surveillance, and deployment. This course is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the best practices for reviewing project proposals, prioritizing projects based on strategic objectives, and insuring the current portfolio of projects are on track to deliver the planned benefits. For Federal Agencies, this process requires the development of business cases, completion of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Exhibit’s 300 and 53, as well as monthly updates to the Federal IT Dashboard.

Efrain Pacheco, PMP
Mr. Pacheco has twenty-four years of project/program management experience. His training experience includes multiple courses in Earned Value, Risk, PMO and Project management to audiences in the US and throughout the world. Mr. Pacheco is also well versed in re-engineering of process and procedures for the support of Project Management Life Cycle, EVM oversight, PMO management, Systems Life Cycle, Help Desk/Support, Training, QA, CMMI and business process. Mr. Pacheco brings significant practical experience along with his demonstrated experience as a project management professional.
