Applications are now being accepted for Round 2 of the Presidential Innovation Fellows program. Round one has been judged as a great success in bringing new ideas to government initiatives, with results like Open Data Initiatives, RFP-EZ, Blue Button for America, and Better Than MyUSA.
Innovators and entrepreneurs are being invited to further these programs and launch new initiatives in Disaster Response and Recovery, Cyber-Physical Systems, 21st Century Financial Systems, Innovation Toolkit, and Development Innovation Ventures. 6- 12 month “tours of duty” will allow Fellows to apply their ideas to delivering solutions that generate jobs, save money, and save lives.
“There are nine projects in the next round – each of which offers the opportunity to do good on a scale that is hard to find anywhere else. We’re looking far and wide to build a talented, diverse, innovative applicant pool. If you or anyone you know would like to support this effort, please learn more about the program at WhiteHouse.gov/InnovationFellows, “ said a top administration official.
