C&T SIG Overview

Purpose
Citizens increasingly expect levels of customer service from their government that are comparable to those offered by the private sector. Additionally, the need for improved security and privacy are unparalleled in our nation's history. The Collaboration and Transformation (C&T) Shared Interest Group (SIG), formerly the e-Government SIG, provides a forum for government and industry to identify and candidly discuss e-Government and to facilitate the realization of the concept's promise.

Mission Statement
The  Collaboration and Transformation (C&T) SIG supports government transformations that require cross-agency collaboration and deployment of information technology. Working with industry and government, the SIG develops knowledge based work products and establishes interactive forums to address issues, disseminate best practices, and measure outcomes.  C&T is the home for emerging issues, innovative technologies, and new ideas.

Objectives
Working with industry and government, the C&T SIG develops knowledge based work products and establishes interactive forums to address issues and disseminate best practices.  This SIG tackles emerging issues, spawns focused committees, and provides a supporting structure to incubate committees as future SIGs.

Membership
Membership in the C&T SIG is open to all ACT-IAC members in good standing. Contact John Shaw, jshaw@actgov.org, to receive regular notices of C&T SIG activities.

Government Advisory Panel
The advisory panel is comprised of senior government executives engaged in the leadership of transformational e-Government practices within their respective agency.
