  2. (3:35 - 3:40) GAP Update (Adelaide O'Brien)
    • Status of invitations
    • Status of first 2011 GAP meeting
      • Metrics to consider for projects: Thought Leadership, Government Engagement, Industry SIG Member Engagement - Others? GAP member Bios? in prep for May 19th meeting.
  3. (3:40 - 3:50) Vice-Chair Meeting Update (Mark Samblanet)
    • Knowledge Management Capture Initiative - mandatory for events, panels, and conferences
    • Activity/Project Updates - will be rolled out across IAC
    • Small Business Conference - 307 registered
    • iACTion submissions - need to spend more time on submissions
    • Sage is our new PR firm - issued press release on Social Media White Paper

  5. (4:00 - 4:30) Social Media Records Retention in Federal Government - White Paper and Panel (Carolyn Offutt) & Steve Katz
    • Best Practices for Social Media Records Retention - NARA sponsored the survey, committee put together summary and panel, panel event was picked up on FCW Daily,
      • Study is posted on the committee website
      • Trigger was Obama Memorandum on Transparency and Open Gov, + OMB Guidance Directive 2009, additional guidance in 2010
      • Covers Web Publishing, Social Networking and File Sharing and Storage
      • Surprises? - No because questions were ones that had already been posed and responded to, responses were included in the Study Report.
      • Recording will be posted of the Panel Discussion
      • Follow On Activities - Could there be a follow on records management project (not another best practice)?
      • Lessons learned - developed a best practice doc on how to organize and engage a committee in pursuing a project (posted on the committee site here?)
      • Sources: CIO, Records Managers, Director of New Media (new position in Agencies focused on Social Media issues)
  6. (4:30 - 4:55) Committee Updates (5 minutes each)
    • Best Practices (Carolyn Offutt, Steve Katz) - Presented above
    • Information Sharing (Fiona Barshow, Laura Thibodeaux) 
      • Two Projects underway: Program Management Information Sharing Environment (PMISE) (shemendra paul) next generation info sharing strategy.
        • Initial call for info went out from the committee/ACT-IAC to the entire membership, out last monday due date May 6th. Need comments/contributions.
        • Need to identify topics PMISE will want to hear about
      • Panel NEIM, need to identify panelists and ideas
    • Health IT (Raju Prasannappa)
      • Director for Meaningful Use in Health Care, Office of National Coordinator, HHS new GAP member recruited by Raju
      • Defining the project: effect of mobile technologies on meaningful use in Health Care
      • Then will recruit and establish Committee Membership
    • Financial Management (George Strader, Stephanie Mango)
      • Treasury Dept has developed Portal for use by other agencies, establishing data standards
        • started with improper payments, but evolved
      • Adam Goldberg, sponsor, challenge to provide industry feedback on pilot
    • Applied Innovation (Maria Lee, Jay Jayamohan)
      • Working on Practical Guidelines for implementing Challenges in Gov't
        • First Challenge was to define it, create classifications
        • Report in Progress. one more interview to go
        • Will finalize report within 30 days
