  1. Welcome by SIG Chair, Adelaide O'Brien, and Vice Chair, Mark Samblanet
  2. General Topics (Adelaide O'Brien)
  3. Oct 13th GAP meeting discussion (Adelaide O'Brien)
    1. need to choose who will attend GAP meeting and let Adelaide know
  4. Committee Updates, Dress rehearsal for Oct 13th GAP meeting, walk through Updated Slides (10 minutes each)
    • Applied Innovation (Maria Lee, Jay Jayamohan)
      • Karen Trebon and Tammy Marcoulierre will participate with October 5th panel that will discuss challenges impact and new developments in gov't. 7 different agencies represented on speaker panel. Will include learnings and best practices. GAP presentation update: focus on Oct 5th panel to include highlights of the event e.g. top issues agencies faced and how they overcame them; and snippet that was concluded in the middle of summer 2011.
    • Information Sharing (Fiona Barshow, Laura Thibodeaux)
      • Will have slides updated by Monday morning and review with SIG leadership prior to GAP meeting. Update from May GAP briefing, share survey results? 12-15 companies responded, can share with gov't GAP members only. Can we share conclusions in a single powerpoint, most important learnings from the survey. Support and Collaboration with ODNI, security intersect with social media. Establishing project team and milestones, looking for different sponsor. Could Mike Howell participate? Fiona will reach out. Deep dive discussion with Paul Grant on how to carry forward information sharing objectives into 2012. Fiona will step down as co-chair after this year, looking to identify passionate, eager replacement.
    • Financial Management (George Strader, Stephanie Mango)
      • Add notes on first deliverable. 2nd deliverable: collaborative forum, paper submitted and approved by GAP and OMB, waiting exec committee approval, (bring bound presentations to GAP meeting). 3rd deliverable: identification of new projects has been done, will make final determination of follow on by end of October.
    • Health IT Update (Raju Prasannaappa, Sanjay Kuma)
      • No major update for the GAP meeting. last 2 meetings made progress, defined project and validated within committee, sent to Health IT advocate to get feedback.
    • New IV&V Committee update (Michael Callihan, Matthew Adamowicz)
      • GAP slide will convey initial posturing for the committee, lay out vision and rough timeline, main issue is gov't sponsorship. Tricia Iveson working to get participation and sponsorship lined up. Might invite potential sponsor to the GAP meeting to solidify.
  5. Update on August Information Sharing Panel Discussion (Fiona Barshow)
    • All sessions were recorded and are available on the NIEM website. Well attended with positive reviews.
  6. ET SIG Advanced Mobility Update (Tom Suder)
    • Would like to liase with all SIGs, will have an industry and government person participate with the C&T SIG, what are problems that gov't faces going to mobile devices. Did an on-line dialogue to get inputs. Questions will go to the SIGs to see if a new committee may be formed to address the problem. Will do a call for volunteers. Looking for someone from within an existing committee to participate and become the liason. Tom will provide a draft that he provided to Dan Arnold to share with committee members to identify the right person.
