Commercial Company Assessment Survey

With the government’s focus on hiring reform, the IAC Human Capital SIG has taken on a project to look at the selection and assessment steps of the hiring process. To that end, we are surveying large commercial organizations to determine best practices and see if these practices can be applied to the government. If you are part of a large organization, please encourage your human resources organization to complete this survey. The survey is brief and should not take more then 15 minutes. The survey results will be part of a white paper and you will have the opportunity to review the document. Your support is appreciated. Surveys need to be completed by Thursday, October 29. If you have questions please do not hesitate to contact Debbie Brown, IAC Human Capital SIG Program Chair at 301-466-6621 or via email at brownde3@yahoo.com.

Survey Name: Commercial Company Assessment Survey
Survey Description: OMB Director Peter Orzag and OPM Director John Berry have made Federal hiring reform a priority. In support of this effort, the IAC HC SIG is developing a “white paper” on the topic. This paper seeks to provide some commercial benchmarks and processes that should be considered as the federal government seeks to streamline their hiring processes. We believe that there are parallels to commercial best practices and technologies that can be applied to public service hiring practices. Our focus is specifically on the applicant selection and assessment process.
