Membership in the Small Business SIG will be from the general IAC membership.
Activities
The Small Business SIG will hold periodic membership meetings, workshops, meetings with Government IT professionals and executives and other activities as determined by the membership in support of the objectives and mission of this SIG.
Working Groups
Professional Development Series (PDS) – This task force will create a professional development program that will help small business develop greater awareness, knowledge and level of sophistication in contracting with the government. Vinay Raman (703-307-3402, vinay@k4solutions.com) and Naveen Krishnamurthy (703-448-4860, naveen@k4solutions.com) from K4 Solutions are the co-chairs for the taskforce.
Working with Large Businesses (WWLB) – The Large Business task force will promote and support collaborative relationships between large and small businesses to enable working more effectively together for the government’s benefit including Mentor-Protégé and SBLO outreach programs and/or papers. Tess Palao (703-227-4452, tess.palao@cgifederal) from CGI and Suman Mishra (614-284-4273, suman.mishra@taringroup.org) from The Tarin Group are the co-chairs.
2009 State of Small Business - This task force will update the “2003 Report on Interests and Issues of Small Businesses” white paper. They will objectively report on top issues affecting small businesses and the Federal Government doing business together, representing each perspective. Jaye Helferd (703-522-7400 x1005, jhelferd@iimage.com) from InterImage is the chair.
