ACT-IAC is a members driven organization. ACT-IAC has formed a number of committees, working groups and task forces to provide opportunities for its members to shape the direction and activities of the organization. Membership in the following committees is open to volunteers from both government and industry. Some committees are open to new volunteers throughout the year while others seek volunteers only at certain times of the year. Check the committee you are interested in for more information.
Program Committee
This committee plans, implements and manages events throughout the year to improve communication between government and industry executives. Many of the 60 plus annual events have senior government speakers providing information about agency strategies and plans for IT.
Professional Development Advisory Committee
This committee oversees the professional development and educational activities of ACT-IAC. The committee is responsible for recommending and implementing new professional development and educational programs of value to the government IT community.
Management of Change Conference Planning Committee
This committee is responsible for planning, implementing and managing the annual Management of Change conference held each June.
Executive Leadership Conference Planning Committee
This committee plans, implements and manages the annual Executive Leadership Conference held each October.
Small Business Conference Planning Committee
This committee plans, implements and manages the annual Small Business Conference held every Spring.
Excellence.gov Awards Committee
Each year ACT-IAC recognizes Federal programs that demonstrate excellence in the application of IT assets. The Excellence.gov Awards committee manages this awards program.
Intergovernmental Solutions Awards Committee
Each year ACT-IAC recognizes intergovernmental programs that demonstrate excellence in the application of IT assets. The ISA Awards committee manages this awards program.
IAC Awards Committee
Each year at the ELC individuals and organizations who have made a significant contribution are recognized. This committee manages the awards program and makes recommendations to the IAC Executive Committee regarding potential recipients.
IAC Sponsorship Committee
The IAC Sponsorship Committee is responsible for identifying and obtaining sponsorships and contributions to support ACT-IAC and its activities. Members of the Commiittee who help the organization achieve its goals are eligible for complimentary conference registrations.
IAC Membership Committee
The IAC Membership Committee is responsible for overseeing IAC's membership activities and recommending programs and activities to enhance the value of membership for IAC members.
In addition to the above standing committees, each year ACT-IAC establishes working groups and task forces. The following working groups are currently in operation.
IAC Leadership Development Working Group
Develops and recommends a strategy for identifying, educating and recognizing volunteer leaders in IAC.
SIG Review Working Group
Reviews the structure and agenda of the Shared Interest Groups and recommends such changes as are needed to ensure that the SIGs remain relevant to the government IT community.
Business Model Working Group
Reviews the ACT-IAC business model and makes recommendations to ensure the organization's long-term sustainability.
